Dr. MILO JONES is a Warsaw-based consultant and a Visiting Professor at IE (a top FT-ranked business school) in Madrid. At IE, Milo teaches “Intelligence Tools for the Business Professional”, advanced strategy courses, and a variety of Geopolitics-related courses in the MBA, Executive Education and the Masters in Advanced Finance programs. Milo also teaches for the Financial Times IE Corporate Learning Alliance, and at CEDEP in Fontainebleau.

Milo spent six years as a staff member of Wal-Mart’s Leadership Academy, where he worked with the retailer’s senior leadership on questions surrounding strategy, leadership and technology. In addition to Walmart, Milo’s experience in executive education extends to work with Axa, Accenture, Banco Santander, BHP Billiton, Cemex, Cencosud, EY, Gestamp, Gulf Medical, Kimberly-Clark, Nikkei, Nissan, Renault and Westpac Bank.

Milo has spoken at numerous intelligence, finance and geopolitics-related conferences, including Institutional Investor Forums, Euromoney events, TEDx, and the 2015 World Knowledge Forum in Seoul, Korea. In 2016, Milo also spoke at a special event organized by Harvard Business Review Korea/DBR on his application of intelligence methodologies to business situations.

In 2013, Stanford University Press published a book based on Milo’s PhD dissertation, Constructing Cassandra:  Reframing Intelligence Failure at the CIA, 1947-2001. Milo also serves on the board of a private business with over $100 million in annual sales.  There, he serves on the Compensation Committee.

In the past, Milo worked in London as a Senior Manager in Organizational Strategy and Change for Accenture, and as an Investment Advisor at Morgan Stanley Dean Witter in New York.

Before entering the business world, Milo served as an officer in the US Marine Corps and graduated from the US Army’s Airborne Course. In addition to his PhD from the UK’s University of Kent, he holds an MA with Distinction in International Relations, an MBA from London Business School, and a BA in Art History from Northwestern University.

Milo is a Fellow of the Salzburg Global Seminar, a Fellow of the Center for the Study of Digital Life, a member of the International Institute for Strategic Studies in London, and a member of the Association of Former Intelligence Officers.

Milo is married with one child; he currently lives in Warsaw, Poland, but travels some 200 days a year.
